What Payment gateways do Webfactory Ecommerce websites use?

All our Ecommerce websites can be integrated with a number of payment gateways. In this blog, we will explain which payment gateways we can integrate into your websites and what is needed to set them up.

What is a payment gateway?

A payment gateway is a third-party service that's used to process online payments securely. Payment gateways are used on Ecommerce websites to complete purchases. Providers typically charge a transaction fee for every payment made using their service. There may also be a monthly subscription charge.

What payment gateways can I use with my Ecommerce website?

Our websites can be integrated with PayPal, Stripe, and Klarna.

Can I use more than one gateway?

Yes, since different payment gateways may be more appropriate to different segments of your customer base, You aren't limited to using just one gateway, you can add as many as you'd like.

What cards can be accepted?
PayPal accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, Maestro, Discover and Visa Electron.

What do I need to provide?
To integrate PayPal we need your PayPal Client ID and PayPal Secret. You can find these by heading to the PayPal Developer Portal. You can add these in yourself using our content manager by going to Webshop > Payment options. To apply changes, make sure you press 'Update Settings' at the bottom of the page.

What cards can be accepted?
Stripe accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, Maestro, Discover and Visa Electron. It also allows customers to pay via Apple Pay, Klarna and Clearpay.

What do I need to provide?
To integrate Stripe we need your Stripe Publishable API Key and Stripe Secret API Key. You will also need to make sure that your Stripe mode is set to live. You can add these in yourself using our content manager by going to Webshop > Payment options. To apply changes, make sure you press 'Update Settings' at the bottom of the page.

We recommend Stipe as your chosen payment gateway. Stripe allows a variety of payment methods for your customers including Apple Pay, Klarna and Clearpay.

What do I need to provide?
To integrate Klarna we need your API username and API Password. These are different from your Klarna account username and password. They will need to be generated from within the merchant portal. You can add these in yourself using our content manager by going to Webshop > Payment options. To apply changes, make sure you press 'Update Settings' at the bottom of the page.
